You want a supervisor who affirms your values.

MEET KIMBERLY:

a thin, white woman with blonde shoulder length hair is standing in front of a brick wall and smiling. She is wearing a light blue denim button-down shirt.

Welcome! I am an AASECT-certified sex therapy supervisor who works with socially conscious professionals from diverse backgrounds. I’m glad that you’re here.

We may be a good fit if you:

  • Work with marginalized groups (e.g. BIPOC, LGBTQ+, low income), or have a marginalized identity yourself.

  • Practice from a social justice, intersectional lens and/or wish to grow in this area.

  • Have an interest in systemic, relational, or psychodynamic models of therapy.

Supervision that is accessible and equitable.

As a first-generation college graduate from a working-class family, I know firsthand the value of mentorship, access to resources, and community support. Throughout my career, I've been committed to giving back, particularly in the field of sexuality, by making supervision accessible.

I believe in fostering diversity, equity, and inclusion within the therapeutic community. That's why I offer equitable pricing for supervision and work diligently to advocate for systemic change, both as a member of the AASECT DEI and Finance Committees and through my professional practice.

Individual Supervision:

For therapists in private practice, I offer supervision at the full fee rate they charge their own clients. This ensures fairness and transparency. For those working in community mental health, nonprofit sectors, or accepting insurance, my rate is $125/hr.

Group Supervision:

I also offer group supervision with a sliding scale fee structure, ranging from $50 to $70/hr. This flexible approach allows supervisees to pay what they can, with no formal documentation of financial hardship or income required.

By providing accessible and affordable supervision, I aim to create opportunities for therapists from all backgrounds to grow, learn, and thrive in their practice while promoting a more inclusive field of sexuality.

Common questions about sex therapy supervision

  • I strive to establish a warm, trusting relationship where people feel safe to share questions, mistakes, and their own reactions without judgement.

I utilize a discovery-based approach vs. one that is didactic or instructional. Together we will explore your curiosities, challenges, personal biases and reflections. I believe there is value in examining how we feel in session with our clients in addition to what we are doing and why.

  • Before starting AASECT supervision there must be a signed contract in place between supervisor and supervisee, and you must be an active member of AASECT.

Ideally, you will have completed some education and training in sex therapy, and will be working with clients on sexuality, gender, and/or relationship issues.

  • I usually meet with individual supervisees at least once a month.

For group supervision there are specific dates that we commit to in advance (1x/month), for a period of four months. Upon completion you may opt to renew your commitment for an additional four months.

  • Supervision takes place online via Zoom. If you live in or near Philadelphia then we could meet in person on Wednesdays.

Supervision groups usually take place on Fridays. Individual supervision can be scheduled during my standard office hours (M,T, Th from 12 to 7 p.m. and W/F from 9 to 5). You can book your preferred dates and times online 24/7 through Calendly.

my guiding principles

GROWTH

Supervision provides us with an opportunity to discover, learn, and do better. I continue to seek consultation in my own practice and grow in wisdom from both clients and colleagues.

COMPASSION

I believe that everyone here is doing their best. I assume positive intent, celebrate strengths, and center kindness and curiosity as we get to know one another.

INCLUSIVITY

Through equitable pricing, mutual respect, and cultural humility, I strive to create an inviting, inclusive learning environment.

SAFETY

It’s absolutely OK (and expected!) to make mistakes, be imperfect, and not know the answers. Together we’ll figure it out and find a path forward.

I want you to know:

You can achieve your goals with support.
